Can you dye polyester with over-the-counter dye and which one?

the answer to this quesiton is pretty simple, Yes, you can dye polyester however, you need special dyes to do so.

Yes, you can dye polyester but you need special dyes.  iDye Poly is the only one I am aware of that is available to the home hobbyist, and I don't know how well it works.

iDye Poly products are colour-matched to the regular iDye dye products (for cotton), and you can use both together in the same dye bath for a 50/50 cotton/poly item. 



None of the following will work on polyester: RIT, Dylon, Procion MX (including Dharma Fibre Reactive dye), Procion Acid (aka Jaquard Acid).
