Yes, lower the grade of cement, lesser will be the compressive strength. There are three grades of cement manufactured in INDIA, namely Ordinary Portland Cement 33 Grade, [ Called as OPC 33 in short form]

Ordinary Portland Cement43 Grade, [ Called as OPC43 in short form]

Ordinary Portland Cement53 Grade, [ Called as OPC53 in short form]

The numbers 33,43 and 53 indicates the 28 days cube compressive strenghts after 28 days of curing expressed in N per sq,mm

You may notice from the above, if lesser grade cements lesser compressive strength
