How can I make a permanent dye only last as long as temporary? We bought the wrong type of dye.

You can make permanent dye last long according to usually with instructions on the box. Some will have some printed slips. The formulation is in favor of color pigmentation and penetration and also the shade lift.

Answered 9 months agoI use L’Oreal Paris Excellence Permanent dye. It can last up to three weeks although it begins fading by the fourth shampoo, slowly thereafter.
If you want to speed up the process, don’t laugh but using Dawn dishwashing liquid a few times will get rid of most of it. It leaves your hair amazingly soft as well.
Not sure how long your usual temporary color would last.
It may be best to simply exchange this for what you want.
