When I started in Nursing we had glass syringes and needles were passed thru steel wool before put in autoclave. we didn’t have disposables, gloves were cleaned, matched and also sterilized, sizes were marked on outside. Yes this was a jb done by NURSES, and lo if you mismatched or put wrong size on wrapper of gloves, we also passed bedpans thru a cleaner, cleaned beds with disinfective after a patient discharged, things have really changed in the last 70 years, sme not for the better,
