What is the context? I assume that a DC power system (which would only pertain to one building or one area) would be grounded the same way as an AC system,

But if you are thinking of electronic circuits, you could have a portion of the circuit such as an amplifier AC grounded (to a local ground or common) through a capacitor or DC grounded through an inductor.

Perhaps someone else can comment on how a DC railway system is grounded.
