Fruits that can survive their initial establishment, growth and maturation in tropical climates may be considered tropical. One key is the ability to withstand frost and still survive. Some sub-tropical fruits like citrus can tolerate a modicum of frost and freezing, but truly tropical fruits are not tolerant of frost. There are too many kinds, so listing them here is impractical.
