AAC is basically a lot of entrapped air to make it less dense. This makes it weak on compressive strength. It can't be used for load bearing at all. Also if u hammer holes or nails in Walls of AAC then it tends to crumble easily as compared to bricks. The quality of AAC also depends on the recipe and Aluminum oxide powder used and curing process. Large companies maintain the process quality while smaller companies making AAC do not . Mist Builders end up buying cheapest AAC blocks as the real problems will occur only after one starts staying by then builder has made his money.
