You have to tell us what the “socket plug” is part of. As for terminology, the name “socket plug” doesn’t make too much sense. A socket generally refers to a connector with female-gender contacts that is rigidly fixed to a piece of equipment, while a “plug” generally refers to a connector with male-gender contacts on the end of a cable. There can be exceptions, for example, when a connector with female-gender contacts is on the end of a cable, such as with an extension cord.
