Blood is stored in a refrigerator at 2-8 degrees Celcius. It can be stored for up to 42 days depending on the anticoagulant used during collection.
Plasma (blood banks call this FFP, or fresh frozen plasma) is stored for up to a year at -70 degrees.
Platelets are stored at room temperature on a rotator for up to 4 days.
